Parent Voice at Cromer Road School
Here at Cromer Road School we listen to what you have to say and we value your ideas and contributions. Every month the Headteacher holds a meeting – open to all – where parents are invited to bring their ideas, thoughts and any concerns to the school. It's also a chance for the Headteacher to gather feedback and opinions from parents on school-wide initiatives, so it is a two-way process. Each class is represented by a parent rep who asks you if you have anything you’d like to be discussed and if you can’t get to the meeting your parent rep will raise it for you. They then feed back to the class to ensure constant communication.
The parent rep's role - which can be shared by several parents - is to get to know other parents and carers in their child's class and to gather their contact details so that they can communicate with their class. If possible, the rep comes to the monthly meetings, but the main thing is to act as a voice for their class. Minutes of each meeting are shared with whole school community in the school newsletter and are also available below.
Parent Voice is co-ordinated by Nicky Barkle and Cassia Dingwall (Co-chairs) and Susan Braithwaite (Secretary) – please do contact us with any questions or issues at [email protected]
