All children are expected to wear our uniform and ecouraged to maintain a good standard of appearance in school.
It is designed to be practical, hard wearing and offer good value for money.
Our uniform is important because it:
- contributes to a sense of belonging and community
- gives a common purpose and shared values
- makes children feel equal to their peers in terms of appearance, fosters a feeling of pride and looks smart
- is designed with health and safety in mind
For safety reasons children should not wear jewellery in school. A small stud earring is permissible but must be removed for PE and swimming. Similarly, hair accessories such as slides, ribbons, bobbles etc. should be small and simple and in school colours.
For health reasons it is important that children are properly dressed for physical activity. PE kit should be kept in a named drawstring bag.
Parents are asked to ensure that all items are labelled clearly with their child's name.
