END OF THE DAY
Parents and carers of children in Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1, Year 3 and Year 4 need to collect their children from outside their classroom door. We insist that children are collected promptly by someone over the age of 16.
ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY
Children should be at school 5 minutes before their lessons start. Lessons start promptly and the day usually starts with Literacy and Mathematics. If your child is late they do not only miss the start of an important lesson, but they also interrupt the teacher and the other pupils.
Late collection at the end of the day means that staff are minding pupils instead of preparing for the next day. Please be punctual, any child not collected on time is recorded in a late book.
If your child is absent or late the school must be informed of the reason. Please telephone or write a note.
EXTENDED LEAVE
Parents must apply for permission to remove their child from the school for any length of time. The law allows parents 10 days holiday per school year. If your child is away for more than ten days they can be taken off the roll.
