Singing is the nearest thing there is to universally accessible music-making. Everyone should have the chance to sing. Singing is an ageless activity, an inter-generational activity, something that people at any stage of life can get involved with. There should always be an opt-back in facility for people who want to give it another go.

Opportunities to Sing
The Camden Music Service provides singing opportunities in school, out of school and beyond school.
It also signposts links to activities provided by other organisations.
There are opportunities for singers to:-
- perform with others
- develop individual potential
- write their own songs

Support for Singing
Support is provided for people leading singing – courses are run by the Music Service and by other organisation eg Sound Connections.
The Camden Music Service organises informal song swaps and networking sessions. It also provides resources and hands on support liked to Camden Festivals and events.

Out of School
Much of our out of school singing provision takes place at our Saturday Music Centres where Camjam Voices and the Camden Youth Choir rehearse. Young people can also sign up for singing lessons at Saturday Centre. There is a songwriting class on a Saturday morning and songwriting also happens in music tech sessions at the Camden City Learning Centre.

Beyond School
The opt-back-in facility… there is a parent choir at our Junior Saturday Centre and a Staff Choir which rehearses six Wednesday evenings a term.
