At Elmwood Junior School we provide a secure learning environment based on mutual respect, where learning is enjoyed and all children are valued and supported. We aim to meet the needs of all children through a broad, balanced and exciting curriculum that encourages academic success but also gives opportunity for children to experience a sense of achievement through sport or the creative arts, especially music which is central to the school’s successful philosophy of developing children’s self-esteem.

We are committed to providing high quality education where all children have the opportunity to achieve their full potential in a happy, caring, multi cultural environment.

We believe successful partnership with parents/carers is paramount to the personal and academic development of all our children and look forward to working closely with you.

6th September 2010

We welcome everyone back to school to start the 2010-2011 Academic Year. From the returning pupils and parents from Years 4-6 and our new intake of pupils into Year 3. We also welcome our new teaching staff and teaching assistants into the Elmwood Junior School team.

We hope everyone had a relaxing summer holiday, even if the UK weather wasn't all that summer! Let's have a great year!
