Saltmine Theatre Company

The Saltmine Theatre Company performed a play called 'Escape' to pupils from Years 4 to 6.
The message of the play was how to keep safe on the internet ~ e-safety.

It was Sarah's birthday and she had fun with a monkey friend as she prepared for the celebrations.

Sarah felt she was old enough to be allowed into the forest on her own.
Mum was not so keen on the idea but agreed as long as Sarah remembered three important rules.

Never leave the path.
Never give your personal information.
Call for help and tell someone if you are worried about anything.

So Sarah set off on her own and while on the path she met a friendly tree and had more fun with her monkey friend.

It was not long before Sarah met a stranger in the forest, Wilf, who encouraged her to leave the path and explore the wonderful places further into the forest.

Her monkey friend tried to stop her and the friendly tree reminded her that it was not safe and that she had made a promise but  Sarah broke the rule and left the path.

Her new, persuasive 'friend' soon tricked her into breaking the second rule and she gave away some personal information.
He told her she couldn't go back as she had broken the rules and would be in trouble.

Luckily, although she was very frightened, she remembered the last rule and called for help.

So Sarah went home to her Mum, who was very pleased to see her even though she had broken the first two rules, and she finished her birthday with a lovely cake.

Make sure you remember the rules:
Never leave the path.
Never give your personal information.
Call for help and tell someone if you are worried about anything.
