National Maritime Museum and Royal Observatory
Year 5

It was a snowy day when Year 5 went to visit the National Maritime Museum
and the Royal Observatory.

We had a look at the interactive gallery in the Maritime Museum.

We tried sending messages with flags.....

 ..... using a crane to load a ship's hold....

... and investigated the best shape for a propellor.

At the Royal Observatory we had a talk about the Sun, the Moon and the Earth.

Outside we stood with one foot in the west and one foot in the east as we were astride the Greenwich Meridian.
We had a great time!
