School Bags

Part of our uniform is the Earlsmead book bag which we ask KS1 children to bring in with them each day. Also there is an optional PE bag printed with the school logo for the children’s kit. Apart from these the children will need to bring their packed lunch in a lunch box.

Personal Belongings

All stationery is provided therefore children do not need pencil cases although some children like to bring a small one containing personal items such as a pen, pencil and pencil sharpener. We encourage them to keep stationery items at home to use when doing their homework.

We do not encourage the children to bring in any personal belongings and do not take any responsibility for items lost or damaged. We ask that parents support us in this and ensure the children do not bring any in.

There are occasions when the curriculum the children are studying needs an item to be brought in from home. Teachers will always let you know what may be needed and when

Jewellery and make up

If your child has pierced ears, they may wear stud earrings to school. These need to be removed for PE lessons. Apart from earrings, pupils may not wear jewellery in school. Pupils are also not allowed to wear any make up or nail varnish, including nail extensions, in school.
