Park Road Sale Primary School

Welcome to our school website! On behalf of the children, staff and governors, it is with great pleasure that we welcome you to our school website.

Park Road Sale Primary School is a vibrant school where children are enthusiastic and motivated to achieve endless possibilities. The children are at the heart of every decision we make to ensure that they are happy, confident and that the opportunities which are provided for them are relevant to their needs, both now and for the future.

Our school sets high standards. We have high expectations of what our children can achieve and strive to inspire all children to develop a love of learning so they make good progress and attain their very best; becoming confident and successful individuals in our changing world.

Basic skills in literacy and numeracy are vital and we aim to ensure that each individual child attains the best possible standards in maths and English.  Our results have been significantly above national averages for the last 9 years.  We were recently placed joint 13th in the Sunday Times list of the top state schools and our phonics result for 2017 put us in the top 3% of schools nationally.

“Their outstanding personal development, together with excellent basic skills in literacy, numeracy and ICT, means that pupils are prepared extremely well for the future.”

OFSTED January 2009

Through our engaging curriculum, we ensure that children can foster a passion for learning and curiosity that will help to develop high aspirations and a lifetime of memories. We believe in ensuring that children receive an exciting, relevant and challenging curriculum, to ensure that all children experience success and reach their full potential.

The school chose to convert to academy status in September 2013 and have expanded to a 2 form entry intake this year.   We have a dedicated team that works hard to reach high standards in everything we do and this is further embedded through our successful relationships with parents and the local community. We firmly believe that education is a partnership between home and school and regard parents as an active partner in their child's education and value their interest and support.

This website is only meant to give some introductory information for people who do not currently have a child in school.  Our parents and children have access to our learning platform, Fronter, which has extensive written information, film and photos about events in school and how to support learning.  You can see an example of what it offers on the About Us - Our VLE section of this website.   However, I hope it gives you a taste of life within our school and help you to discover more about us, the achievements of our children and the exciting opportunities we provide.
